GOD IS LISTENING
2.Chronicles 7:15
Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
When life feels chaotic or heavy, it is easy to wonder if our prayers simply bounce off the ceiling. We whisper requests in the quiet hours and carry silent burdens throughout the day, wondering if anyone notices.
In 2 Chronicles 7, God answers Solomon’s prayer of dedication over the temple with an unmistakable promise of attentiveness. While this pledge was originally spoken over a physical structure in Jerusalem, it reveals how God consistently feels toward His people. His eyes are not distant or passive; His ears are not dull. He does not listen with divided attention.
Today, through Christ, the dwelling place of God’s Spirit is within you. You do not have to travel to an ancient sanctuary to find an audience with the Creator. Every honest cry, every whispered petition, and every wordless sigh is met by God who is leaning forward, actively watching and listening to your petitions.
Bring your freshest thoughts and quietest hopes before Him today. You are never speaking into a void—God’s gaze is fixed on you, and His ears are wide open to your voice.
THINK ABOUT IT:
If the Creator of the universe promises that His eyes are wide open and His ears fully attentive to our prayers, why do we still hesitate to bring Him our heaviest burdens?
